World Film Photography Day 2008

So the first World Film Photography Day will be held on 20th March 2008 and we are asking you to get the camera out, shoot some film, and in the following four weeks post your results here or on one of the participating forums. It’s as simple as that!

Photography forums who have so far agreed to run WFPD categories or threads:

All You Need to Know to Take Part:

This coming 20th March 2008 is World Film Photography Day! I ask you to participate by taking photos on this day with a film camera, and your best one can then be uploaded to this site within four weeks, or to one of the participating forums.

To upload to the WFPD site, you will need to register on the forum using a valid email address. There are no catches and this is free to use all year round. On the 20th March a dedicated section on the forum will open up and be available for one month for submitting your chosen image.

Submission Guidelines:

Once your image is on the computer either by scanner or CD/DVD, I please ask that it is resized to a maximum of 800 pixels on the longest side.

When posting your image I ask that you include 1. the image title, 2. your name, and 3. your location.

Images ‘uploaded’ (from your computer) to the forum must be no more than 100kb in filesize. Images ‘attached’ (already online) may be any size. Full instructions on how to do this are on the forum here.

What Happens After?:

As the images start to appear on the forum they will be arranged for displaying on the website as a gallery. Copyright of all images remain with the photographer and there will be no other use made of them.
